When you departed
We were left brokenhearted
How could we continue
All that you started
Without you to guide us
Praise us and chide us
We were lost little children
Without our father beside us
Although we were told
To remain strong and bold
That you lived in your words
Which never grew old
We still went astray
In the dark lost our way
For your merciful glance
We continue to pray
But hope still abounds
If we still chant our rounds
And listen with care
To your ever fresh sounds
