What's New
Whimsical Frivolity
by Anandamaya das

Whimsical frivolity
Externally seems jollity
But if one lives it daily
It soon becomes one's follity.

A lack of introspection
May explain the soul's deflection
Unchecked lack of gravity
May well lead to depravity

May our thoughts turn to the Divine
Instead of whiling away the time
In idle machinations best
Left behind with all the rest

So let us not take shelter
Of the worldly helter-skelter
But in the glory and the fame
Of the Lord's most Holy Names

Anandamaya das
(Author, Journey to Ecstasy)
