"How a devotee becomes the greatest of all transcendentalists is stated in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (6.14.5):

    muktānām api siddhānāṁ
    nārāyaṇa-parāyaṇaḥ
    su-durlabhaḥ praśāntātmā
    koṭiṣv api mahā-mune

'There are many liberated souls and perfected souls, but out of all of them he who is a devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is best. Such a devotee of the Supreme Lord is always calm and quiet, and his perfection is very rarely seen, even among millions of persons.' "

(Teachings of Lord Caitanya, Chapter 22)
