His Grace Sukadeva Prabhu is one of the great sankirtana devotees in Lord Caitanya's movement and a dear disciple of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. His melodious kirtans are world renowned.
I remember when Sukadeva came up from Seattle (where he was temple president) to Vancouver for the installation of the beautiful Radha Madan Mohan in 1974. He led the most blissful kirtans as the devotees chanted and danced together in ecstasy.
And who can forget his contribution to the famous "Every Town and Village" album from Golden Avatar Productions where Sukadeva's chanting fades in and out between every track? A classic!
Sukadeva Prabhu was always well-spoken and his classes were sweet. He was a true Vaisnava gentleman who will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by many. May he always be safely situated at Srila Prabhupada's divine lotus feet.
