Dear Readers and Friends,

Hare Krishna.

I'm writing to inform you that I recently received the following message from our web hosting company:

"Google Chrome has started marking any website that isn’t HTTPS as 'Not Secure'. This can make it seem like there’s something wrong with your website and can end up costing you visitors and customers.

Enabling HTTPS on your site requires obtaining an SSL certificate.  SSL will NOT be available for websites still on the legacy Desktop Website Builder product.

If you do not take any action here, the credibility and trust of your website may suffer and you might end up losing out on future visitors and customers."

Most of you have probably noticed that website addresses have been gradually changing to the prefix https:// from the old prefix of http://.  Unfortunately, our company no longer supports the "legacy" site builder on which The Prabhupada Connection was created in early 2002.  They want me to rebuild the website from scratch on their new site builder or go through a third party.  Both of these options are difficult since The Prabhupada Connection consists of 5,000 plus pages and I'm getting too old for such painstaking work.  So I'm trying to find a reasonable solution.

In the meantime, if you see a warning when you log on to this website which states: "Content on this website has been reported as unsafe. We recommend that you do not continue to this website," PLEASE IGNORE IT AND PROCEED WITH CONFIDENCE.  This only applies to websites which collect your personal or financial information which WE DO NOT. There is NO DANGER in visiting this site whatsoever. My web hosting company representative has advised me as follows: "Let them (your readers) know that since they aren't entering personal data through your site, they don't need to worry."

Once again, I'm working on finding a quick resolution to this problem. If daily posts are interrupted for the time being, I apologize for any inconvenience. You're welcome to browse through our "What's New" page which is full of transcendental nectar.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Your servant and friend,
Padmapani das
