What's New
In 1976 when Srila Prabhupada was in Toronto I went on most if not all the morning walks. It was in the early summer I think. The day we walked along the boardwalk down by Lake Ontario a funny thing happened. There was a wooden stand painted nicely that stood about 5 feet tall beside the walkway. It was painted nicely, and had an illustration of a dog being walked and a sign that sad "stoop and scoop." Below the sign was a box that contained some plastic bags for those walking their dogs so that when the dog passed stool it was expected that the owner would "stoop and scoop" up the stool and place it in the trash.

Srila Prabhupada stopped and asked... "What is this?" One devotee told Srila Prabhupada what the wooden stand was for, then Srila Prabhupada turned to Brahmananda Swami and said... "That is the difference between them and us, they stoop and scoop and we do not." Everyone and Srila Prabhupada burst out laughing and as Brahmananda was laughing I took a picture of him and Srila Prabhupada. The picture is now in the Archives.
