THE PRABHUPADA CONNECTION
.
The Spirit Soul is Equal
"Just a moment before, we were dancing and chanting equally, the boys, the girls, the men, the women. So there is no distinction. Even if we do not understand the language, what is the meaning of Hare Kṛṣṇa, but because it is transcendental, because it is spiritual, from the spiritual platform, everything is equal. We forget that we are American, or we are Indian, we are child, we are youth, or man, or woman, because in the spiritual platform there is no such bodily distinction."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Montreal, June 11, 1968)

"The spirit soul is equal in either a man or woman. One who is actually engaged in the service of Krishna, there is no such distinction as man or woman."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, February 4, 1976)

"In the spiritual platform, there is no such distinction that one is on the higher level or one is on the lower level. Paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśinaḥ (BG 5.18). In the Bhagavad-gītā, therefore, it is said that those who are actually learned, they have no such distinction."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Montreal, August 19, 1968)

"He may be a man, he may be a woman, he may be a śūdra, he may be a brāhmaṇa or he may be black or he may be white. Everyone can approach to the highest platform of devotional service. It is open field."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Montreal, August 19, 1968)

"Krishna Consciousness is transcendental to all such mundane considerations as if one's body is male or female. This is the meaning of spiritual: Krishna Consciousness is beyond the limited bodily idea."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, November 2, 1969)

"I am thinking that I am a man or a woman, an American or Indian, a Christian or Hindu—these are all designations pertaining to the body, and when the body is finished, they will also be finished. We are actually spirit, and therefore our spiritual activities will go with us wherever we go."

(Rāja-Vidyā, Chapter 8)
