"Human society is meant to create a spiritual atmosphere by spreading the spirit of Kṛṣṇa consciousness."

(Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.22.32, Purport)

"Please keep up the spirit of preaching work and you will be victorious wherever you go."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, July 24, 1971)

"Unless we work cooperatively, how this movement will go on? So my request to you all is that you maintain that spirit of cooperation always and help me to deliver Lord Caitanya's message all over the globe."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, July 17, 1971)

"Everything should be done in a spirit of cooperation and Krsna's work will go on unhampered. That is our only desire."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, January 10, 1971)

"It is important that we preach the message of Krishna Consciousness exactly as we have heard it from our Spiritual Master. The same philosophy and spirit must be there exactly."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, January 23, 1969)

"Lord Caitanya has given us the task to spread His message all over the world, and any process which may be useful for facilitating this business, that we shall gladly adopt, never mind his zone or my zone, that is material designation. But we shall always do everything in cooperative spirit and avoid any fighting amongst us, that is Vaisnava attitude because Lord Caitanya has advised us to always offer all respects to others, especially to the devotees of the Lord."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, November 18, 1972)

"Love for Kṛṣṇa has this one unique effect: it imbues superiors, equals and inferiors with the spirit of service to Lord Kṛṣṇa."

(Caitanya-caritāmṛta Ādi 6.53)

"Spirit of service must be maintained. ...mukhe hi jivadau svayam eva sphuraty adaḥ (CC Madhya 17.136). By service spirit, beginning with tongue: Hare Kṛṣṇa. Then everything is revealed, Vaikuṇṭha atmosphere."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Vrindavan, December 11, 1975)

Prabhupāda: Everyone wants to be devoted to somebody else. And because such devotion is misplaced, he becomes unhappy. When that devotional spirit will be rendered to the Supreme Person, then he will be happy. But the devotional spirit is there.

Devotee: Everyone is born with this?

Prabhupāda: Yes. Just like this child, he was asked to obey, immediately he offered obeisances. So this is devotion. Every politician, everyone has got some followers. That means the devotional spirit is there. Even a rogue, dacoit, plunderer, he has got also some follower, and one could not follow others without devotional spirit. Is it not? Therefore this devotional spirit is innate in everything. That is truth.

(Philosophy Discussion on Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibnitz)

"Ataḥ śrī-kṛṣṇa-nāmādi na bhaved grāhyam indriyaiḥ: (CC Madhya 17.136) as long as one is situated in duality, on the sensual platform, gross or subtle, realization of the original Personality of Godhead is impossible. Sevonmukhe hi jihvādau svayam eva sphuraty adaḥ: but when one engages his senses in the service of the Lord—specifically, when one engages the tongue in chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra and tasting only Kṛṣṇa prasāda with a spirit of service—the Supreme Personality of Godhead is revealed."

(Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 6.4.26, Purport)

"God is realized only by the devotees. Bhaktyā mām abhijānāti yāvān yaś cāsmi tattvataḥ (BG 18.55). So actually, God is realized through devotion. There is no other way. So in the proportion of one's development of devotional spirit, one realizes God. Ye yathā māṁ prapadyante tāṁs tathaiva bhajāmy aham (BG 4.11). The proportion, devotion, required. But real process is devotion."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, Los Angeles, July 24, 1975)

"The Lord can be pleased only by a humble attitude in the service spirit. The more we render service unto the Lord under the direction of the spiritual master, the more we make advancement on the path approaching the Lord. We cannot demand any grace or mercy from the Lord because of our service rendered to Him. He may accept or not accept our service, but the only means to satisfy the Lord is through the service attitude, and nothing else."

(Kṛṣṇa Book, Chapter 58)

"So your examples are great encouragement for an old man like me. I have got the same spirit of being overloaded with Krishna Conscious work, but physically I am not as strong as you are all young boys and girls. You can pray to Krishna that I may get your strength to serve the cause of Krishna Consciousness."

(Srila Prabhupada Letter, December 16, 1967)
