17. Srila Prabhupada is my happiness. The only time I smile is when I hear his story. He is the cause of the shining of my heart.

The word anuvada refers to describing the qualities of the Supreme Lord or His devotees. When these qualities are described, other devotees are interested in hearing them. The more one is interested in hearing about these transcendental qualities, the more one transcendentally enjoys.

SB 10.1.69

18. Srila Prabhupada is my mission. His determination is to give the world Krsna. My determination is to give the world Prabhupada.

The symptom, the prime symptom, most important symptom of love is that the devotee wants to see that his Lord's name, fame, etc. become widespread. He wants to see that "My Lord's name be known everywhere." This is love. If I love somebody, I want to see that his glories are spread all over the world.

Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.2.6
New Vrindaban, September 5, 1972

19. Srila Prabhupada is my glory. Among exalted souls, he is exalted. My glory is in his glorification.

This is the business of the disciple, how to glorify the spiritual master, parampara. I glorify my spiritual master, you glorify your spiritual master. If we simply do that, glorify, then Krsna is glorified.

Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.5.23
Vrndavana, August 4, 1974

20. Srila Prabhupada is my pride. My life is full of shameful activities but because he has touched me I have something to be proud of. He restores the wretched.

Jaya-gopala: If we are on the street and collecting money and we are thinking, "Oh, I am a very good collector; I am collecting so nicely."
Prabhupada: Yes, Yes. You are very good collector for Krsna.
Jaya-gopala: But if we...
Prabhupada: Yes, yes, you should be proud, you should feel proud: "I am working for  Krsna very nicely." (laughter) We don't reject anything. Even this pride, yes. "I am greater servant of Krsna. Yes, I am proud." That pride is nice. Yes?

Bhagavad-gita 2.46-62
Los Angeles, December 16, 1968

21. Srila Prabhupada is my valor. I am fearless when I stand behind him because no one can stand against him. He is a lion and I am his cub.

I very much appreciate your version that Rayarama is roaring like a Lion-cub. I wish that every one of you should be Lion's descendant. Our Lord Krishna assumed the form of Lion & killed the atheist, Hiranyakasipu, & by disciplic succession we shall also kill all impersonalist atheist.

Srila Prabhupada letter
Navadvipa, November 2, 1967

Just like we dare to face any chemist, any scientist, any philosopher. Why? On the strength of Krsna, we believe that "There is Krsna. When I shall talk with him, Krsna will give me intelligence." This is the basics. Otherwise, from qualification, standard, they are very much qualified. We are common laymen before them. But how do we challenge them? Because we know. Just like a small child He can challenge a very big man because he knows, "My father is there." He is catching the hand of the father, and he's sure that "Nobody can do anything to me."

Morning Walk At Cheviot Hills Golf Course
Los Angeles, May 17, 1973

22. Srila Prabhupada is my noble sire of many noble sons. My brothers are the best of men, having given their lives to his mission. He wishes his legacy to continue through them.

Be careful about your health first. This information is not only for you but all my noble sons. I am an old man. I may live or die it does not matter. But you must live for long time to push on this Krishna Consciousness movement.

Letter to Rayarama
San Francisco, December 21, 1967

Devotee 1: Why can't you give us your old age?
Prabhupada: When I see that things are going on nicely, I am happy. What is this with this body? Body is body. We are not body.
Devotee 1: Wasn't it Purudasa that gave his father his youth?
Prabhupada: Hm?
Devotee 2: Yayati. King Yayati traded his old age.
Devotee 1: With his son. You can do that.
Prabhupada: (laughs) Who did?
Devotee 2: King Yayati.
Prabhupada: Ah. Yayati. No, why? You are my body. So you live on. There is no
difference. Just like I am working, so my Guru Maharaja is there, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati. Physically he may not be, but in every action he is there...

Room Conversation
Vrindavana, May 27, 1977

23. Srila Prabhupada is my vice Lord. He is honored as much as the Supreme Lord. He is deserving of comprehensive worship.

Just like in our country when there was British rule, there was a viceroy, a king's representative. So naturally, when viceroy used to go to some meeting, many people used to present valuable jewels, valuable, because just to honor him. But the law was that not a single of the jewels or contribution the viceroy could touch. It was going to the royal treasury. The viceroy could accept on behalf of the king all contribution, but it goes to the king. Similarly, this day, Vyasa-puja day, whatever honor, contribution and feelings is being offered to the spiritual master, it is... Again, as we have received the knowledge from upwards, similarly, this respect also goes from downward to the upward. This is the process. So as the spiritual master is teacher of the student, he has to teach the disciple how to send back his respect and contribution to God. This is called Vyasa puja.

Sri Vyasa Puja Address
New Vrindaban, September 2, 1972

24. Srila Prabhupada is my guru. Sometimes I do not want to serve but he is insistent. He patiently teaches the process of devotional service.

If he is a father instructing his sons, a spiritual master instructing his disciples, or a king instructing his citizens, he must instruct them as I have advised. Without being angry, he should continue giving instructions, even if his disciple, son or citizen is sometimes unable to follow his order.
